How does consignment work at MOSS?
For new consignors, you must call or email us to make an appointment to drop off your items for consideration. Appointments can be made Tuesday through Friday from 11-6pm. We will look through your items and determine what pieces are a good fit for our collection. Items must be laundered and in excellent condition. To open an account, we must accept a minimum of 5 items. Please keep in mind that our merchandise is highly edited and focuses on styles and labels that are no more than 2-3 years old, so we may only accept a fraction of what you bring in.
What if I don't live in Austin?
If you live outside Austin, and wish to consign at MOSS, please call or email us and let us know what items you are interested in consigning. If we feel they are a good fit, you may ship them to us. Any items that we do not accept will be shipped back to you at your request and expense.
Do you make housecalls?
YES! If you are an existing consignor or have a large amount of items to consign and would rather us come to you, please email us at email@example.com.
What types of items are you looking for?
MOSS consigns clothing, shoes, handbags and accessories. We are looking for unique designer pieces and popular contemporary labels that are in excellent condition. This means that the age of the garment is not necessarily as important as the style. We focus on items bought within the last 1-3 years. We carry a variety of labels which you may find under the "Consignment" section on our home page.
Do you buy vintage?

How long do you keep the items?
We keep your items for three months. After that time, your items may be picked up, shipped to you, or donated. We may also pull items before the 90 day period, at our discretion. You may also pick up items at anytime during the three month period.
How do you set pricing?
Pricing will be set jointly with our consignors. We generally set pricing at about 25%-30% of the original retail price. Items with tags attached or from the current season will be set at a higher price. Handbags and jewelry are also often set at a higher price-generally 50-70% of the original retail price.
Do you ever reduce prices?
Yes. Your item will be at full price for the first 30 days, 25% off during the second 30 days, and 50% off during the final 30 days. After the 90 days has passed, you may pick up any unsold items or we will donate them. We also may extend a discount during sales or on damaged items at our discretion.
How does payment work?
You receive 45% of the selling price of your item. All payments will be sent out by check at the beginning of each month.
Can I use my credit for purchase?
Yes! You may either use your use credit for items that have sold as store credit or you may use your check towards purchases.
What kinds of items do you NOT accept?
MOSS does not accept swimwear (unless with tags attached), lingerie, business attire, or brands such as Express, Ann Taylor, Anthropologie, Free People, Michael by Michael Kors, Nine West, BCBG, Splendid, Ted Baker, The Gap, Banana Republic, J. Crew, etc.
Do you accept returns?
All sales are final. No refunds, returns, or exchanges.
